Many hundreds of drownings in the UK every year are accidental, and a great proportion of them are people who had no intention of going in to the water.
In 2016, 77 people drowned when they just went out for a walk or run!
And the statistics for men who have been drinking add to these figures in the most awful way – 18 die every year after a good night out.
It’s a sad fact that the team has been involved in many body-recoveries from our local rivers over the last few years, so we wanted to use our passion for water-safety to help proactively as well as after someone has fallen in.

We have a vision where accidental drownings in our rivers are reduced to zero.
As we release new information we will update this page, and build an archive of posters, training video, slides and info suitable for schools, business and home use.
