In January 2016 we put started a crowdfunding campaign to fund a new water-rescue trailer for our Hereford response. We were overwhelmed when Hereford businessman Clive Haughton gave us a ring and offered £1200 to fund the project.

Clive runs the Marches Group, which make the amazing Broadfix range of plastic builders’ shims at their base in Hereford, and he invited us along to collect the cheque, and see their fantastic offices. A great, friendly team with a fun approach to life, they even have a slide in their building!

The donation was used to fund river-bank search kits, wading poles, floatation devices, helmets and throwlines for our team members, and a stretcher for the trailer.
